Several Israelis were murdered by Gazan terrorists at this bus stop on October 7th

October 7, 2023 fell on Shabbat and the Simchat Torah holiday. Across southern Israel that morning, people were out on the roads, waiting for buses or travelling to visit family, when gunmen from Gaza drove into the towns and along the highways.

Bus stops and roadside shelters became places of slaughter. In the best-known case, in the town of Sderot, a group of elderly passengers waiting with their bags at a bus stop were shot dead by gunmen who had arrived by pickup truck.
