Palestinian terrorists film themselves stepping on the faces of killed Israeli soldiers

The October 7, 2023 assault began with attacks on the Israeli army posts along the Gaza border. At bases such as Nahal Oz, and at positions near Kerem Shalom, Re'im and Zikim, soldiers were overrun in the first hours of the morning, and hundreds were killed in the course of the day.

In this recording, made by the attackers themselves, men step on the faces of Israeli soldiers lying dead on the ground. Stepping on a person's face is a deliberate act of humiliation, and like much of the footage from that day, it was filmed to be shown to others.

Desecration of the dead is prohibited under the laws of war. Footage like this is part of the record that Israeli investigators have used to document the abuse of bodies on October 7.
