About this record
Age offered no protection on October 7, 2023. Among the roughly 250 people taken into Gaza that day were men and women in their seventies and eighties, many of them founders and longtime members of the kibbutzim along the border. Several of the oldest hostages did not survive captivity.
In this recording, the gunmen film themselves with an elderly Israeli woman they have seized, before taking her away to Gaza. Filming their captives was common practice among the attackers, and many of these videos were posted online while the abductions were still under way.
