About this record
On October 7, 2023, Hamas led a coordinated assault from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel. Gunmen crossed the border at dozens of points and attacked kibbutzim, towns, army posts and the Nova music festival near Re'im. Around 1,200 people were killed that day, most of them civilians, and about 250 were taken into Gaza as hostages.
This compilation brings together raw footage of the massacre across Israel, seen largely through the eyes of the attackers: their body cameras, phones and livestreams. Individual incidents, and many that the compilation does not include, have their own pages on this website.
